The Benefits of PSN to Employees 

PSN is available to provide you and your family the opportunity to live an even happier, well-balanced life. The range of services and supports that are available to you address any personal or workplace issues that you or your family member may be struggling with or want to improve. PSN believes that everyone is able to function at their potential in every area of their life and as such will work with you to customize a plan to assist you in achieving this goal. You will become an even better spouse, parent, caregiver, friend, co-worker as well as a more productive and satisfied employee.

Because the EFAP is an employer-sponsored program, all of the services and supports provided by PSN are free to you and your ‘immediate’ family members. ‘Immediate’ family members include your spouse and all other family members residing in your home whom are considered a ‘dependent’ (i.e. children who are still covered by your extended health benefits or elderly parents whom you are the primary caregiver for).

When asked in our client satisfaction survey ‘What has been most helpful about your PSN experience?’ participants responded as follows:

  • Being able to talk about work problems, impact on life and learning how to deal with it.

  • The techniques I’ve learned from my counsellor has helped me to gauge a better understanding of myself and emotions I feel. I’ve learned how to deal with various stressors and learned various coping skills.

  • I already have recommended (the EFAP services to a co-worker or fellow employee) and I tell people how much EFAP has benefitted me and my family.

  • EFAP has been an amazing resource for me and it has helped me put things in perspective and has helped me prioritize important things in my life.

  • EFAP has helped me and my family through difficult times and has also made me a healthier employee for my company. The days I’ve missed at work has drastically reduced.
